MEGAMINDISM
ˈmɛgəmaɪndˈɪzəm
Megamindism is a religion that is mainly centered around the fictional character, Megamind. Those who follow the Megamindism religion are known as Megamindians.
THERE ARE 4 DISTRICTS OF METROCITY
i. The main city of Metrocity is considered the “heavenlike” district. It’s where good souls end up after being judged by Overlord Megamind. The beings who watch over the district are Overlord Megamind himself, Lord Metroman, Lord Roxanne, and Lord Minion.
ii. The second district is located within the first one but is not considered part of that district. It’s about as hell-like as it comes– Hal’s apartment. It’s where evil souls are sent after being judged. Prince Hal himself watches over this district. Evil souls always have a chance to redeem themselves.
iii. The Metro City Prison for the Criminally Gifted is considered to be the purgatorial district. It is, again, within the first district, but is not considered to be a part of it. New souls and/or neutral souls reside here, most of them awaiting Judgment. The head of this district is, of course, the Demigod Warden.
iv. The last district is the City Hall, which is the Judgment Hall and is where all new souls go to be judged, and where neutral/redeemed souls go for further trial. Lord Megamind and the Demigod Mayor run this district. It is also within the first district, as all of them are.
THE NINE COMMANDMENTS OF MEGAMINDISM
Thou shalt not be bigoted
Love thy neighbor except for Prince Hal
Honor thy homosexual and thy transgender
Thou shall only commit bad acts on Sundays
Thou shalt not ridicule or recreate any Holy Relics
Thou shalt not use symbolism with ill intention
Honor Lord Minion, Lord Roxanne, and Lord Metroman as one honors Overlord Megamind
Thou shall respect the Sacred Demigods and Kings of Metrocity
Thou shall visit the Roblox Megamind Shrine once a week
HIERARCHY
There is a hierarchy within Metrocity that separates the most powerful from the least powerful. The hierarchy goes as follows:
OVERLORDS - Only Overlord Megamind holds this title. Overlords are the most powerful beings.
LORDS - Reserved for Lord Metroman, Lord Minion, and Lord Roxanne. Lords are only slightly less powerful than Overlords.
DEMIGODS - Beings with considerable power who watch over districts of Metrocity. Demigod Mayor and Demigod Warden hold this title.
KINGS/QUEENS/MONARCHS - Beings with little power who watch over certain parts of Metrocity. King Bernard is an example of this, who watches over the Megamind Museum (formerly known as the Metroman Museum before its destruction and renovation).
PRINCES/PRINCESSES/PRINCEX -Beings with little to no power. Prince Hal carries this title (though he is not very happy with it).
METROBORNS - Natural-born souls of Metrocity.
CITIZENS - Good souls who were once humans on Earth.
NEWCOMERS - Newly passed souls who were once humans on Earth.
NEUTRALS - Neutral souls who were once humans on Earth.
RECOVERERS & THE REDEEMED - Souls that are going through the redemption process or have recently finished and are awaiting re-trial.
EVILS - Evil souls who were once humans on Earth.
REDEMPTION
Once a soul is judged as evil by Overlord Megamind, they are given a sentence depending on the severity of their crimes on Earth. Afterward, they are sent to Lord Hal’s apartment where they are required to stay for the duration of their sentence before they are able to redeem themselves if they please. The redemption process is quite lengthy, but recovering souls are not required to remain in the apartment. Instead, they are heavily watched and accompanied by their own personal pair of Brain Bots to ensure cooperation.
EVIL VS BAD
There is a difference between evil acts and bad acts. Evil acts are acts committed on planet Earth and in Metrocity that cause real-life harm and are what cause souls to be sentenced to Prince Hal’s apartment. Good souls can be turned evil if they begin to commit evil acts in Metrocity.
Evil acts include but are not limited to:
RacismAnti-LGBTQ+HomicideKidnapping
On the contrary, bad acts are acts committed only in Metrocity that do not cause real-life harm. However, they are only permitted on Sundays, otherwise, it would be overwhelmingly chaotic all the time. Overlord Megamind allows this to relive his official “Master of all Villainy” days.
Bad acts include but are not limited to:
Being the baddest boy of them allEvading taxesPretending to be someone’s Space Dad
THE PRAYER OF OVERLORD MEGAMIND
Our Defender who art in Metrocity, hallowed be thy name; thy district come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Metrocity. Give us this day our daily Black Mamba, and forgive us our evils as we forgive those who do evil against us; and lead us not into Prince Hal, but deliver us from Tighten, for thou is the Incredibly Handsome, and the Criminal Genius, and the Master of all Villainy, forever and ever, Ollo.

SYMBOLISM
Currently, there is one symbol that represents Overlord Megamind and Megamindism as a whole. It is the letter M with two lightning bolt-like shapes that twist around the front and end just over the bottom sides of the letter. The top portions of the symbol are a metallic grey while the bottom portions are a light blue, a similar color to Overlord Megamind’s skin.
